We have a weekend full of activities and fun events planned for our “Elizabeths” and their families. The Village of Elizabeth will host several events throughout the weekend while the whole county including Galena celebrates as well with several events and activities. Saturday, June 28 Gathering of Elizabeths World Record Attempt (10:30 am—12 pm) All Elizabeths will need to register at the Apple River Fort to be included in the World Record Attempt. There will be food and vendors throughout the Fort grounds and in downtown Elizabeth. A group photo will be taken with all the Elizabeths. Gathering of Elizabeths Celebration! Planned activities include the crowning of a “Queen Elizabeth” for the day; a group photo taken with fellow Elizabeths; a craft show and downtown business sidewalk sale; and a fashion show featuring styles from the past and the present.
