Over 175 years ago, three women named Elizabeth bravely defended their friends and families from a raid by the legendary warrrior Black Hawk right here in downtown Elizabeth, Illinois at the Apple River Fort.

The time is now to honor these courageous women from the past. Their actions laid the groundwork for women everywhere and we plan to celebrate!
